Privacy Policy

Who we are. This website is operated by Sam Witmitz, trading as Blue Grove Digital (ABN 49 949 431 011), based in Mount Gambier, South Australia. You can contact us at bluegrovedigital@gmail.com.

Our approach. As a small business we may not be bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), but we choose to handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) as good practice.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us, plus the basic technical information needed to run a website:

• When you use our Health Check / contact form: your business name, email address, ABN, and anything else you include.
• Technical / server data: standard web-server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) created automatically when any website is accessed, used to keep the site secure and working.
• Spam protection: our form uses a hidden "honeypot" field to prevent automated spam.

We do not currently run website analytics (such as Google Analytics) and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If this changes, we'll update this policy first.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry, prepare your free Digital Health Check and any quotes, provide our services, keep the website secure, and meet our legal obligations. With your consent, we may also occasionally email you a useful tip or offer — you can unsubscribe at any time. We don't sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We use trusted third-party providers to run the business, and your information may be handled by them only so we can deliver the service:

• Form delivery: Web3Forms receives your form submission and emails it to us (submissions are also stored briefly on their service).
• Website hosting: a virtual private server we run behind the Caddy web server (this is where the standard server logs are created).
• DNS and email routing: Cloudflare (which directs the domain and forwards email; it does not proxy or store the website's traffic).
• Fonts: Google Fonts serves the page's typography, and receives your IP address and browser type when the site loads.
• Email: Google (Gmail), which receives and stores our correspondence with you.

Some of these providers — including Web3Forms and Google — are based in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers that protect your information.

How we store and protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access (including HTTPS encryption on the site and access controls). No method is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe. We keep your enquiry details only as long as needed to prepare your Health Check and stay in touch, and we'll remove them on request.

Accessing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you — just email bluegrovedigital@gmail.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

Complaints

If you're concerned about how we've handled your information, contact us first and we'll try to resolve it. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this website.
